Why wait, when we can bring the Embassy Festival to you a little bit sooner, as a warm-up for September 6th and 7th? For the third year running, we’ll be hosting an Embassy Festival stage at THE LIFE I LIVE festival, at the Lange Voorhout, on Kingsday. Prooost, the organization behind the Embassy Festival, also organizes THE LIFE I LIVE. The cultural world-trip that we so love and devour at the Embassy Festival will be fully present on Kingsday and we’d be delighted to welcome everyone to soak it all up.

We’re very excited to share the line-up we have put together for you this year.

Gita Buhari
13.00 – 13.45
With the expected sunshine there really isn’t an act to start your Kingsday better with than with the Ghanaian/Dutch singer Gita Buhari. Her dreamy music sounds like summer and will lift your spirits to new heights. Soul at its finest and for you to enjoy at its fullest.

Sindicato Sonico
14.15 – 15.00
What do you get when you throw a few Spanish, Mexican, Cuban and Honduran musicians in a band? One very big party! Think they sound familiar? Well, you would be right, as they joined us at the Embassy Festival in 2016. And now they’re back with a fantastic mix of Latin, Ska, Mariachi, Funk and Rock ‘n Roll.

Have you heard of the Funaná? The Cape Verdean accordion music takes center stage at all the shows that Tabanka puts down. Just looking at the 7 musicians puts a smile on your face. You’ll instantly feel the summer vibes in your bloodstream as soon as they play their highly infectious music. You might even feel that you’re on holiday during those 45 exciting minutes!

Arp Frique
16.45 – 17.30
Better get your dancing shoes on, as it’ll be hard not to shake those hips and wave those arms as soon as Arp Frique walks on stage. The musicians, with band leader/composer Niels Neuborg at the forefront, know how to put a spell on the audience with the exotic future sounds of the world, as they put it. The colorful world of Arp Frique is not to be missed. They’ve been booked by many other large festivals, so grab that chance to see them for free and in a relative intimate setting while you still can!

Rizan Said
18.00 – 18.45
All good things must come to an end, so we thought we’d program an audience favorite to close this fun filled Kingsday. Rizan Said, another act that we’ve previously hosted at the Embassy Festival and wanted to see again due to the outstanding performance he put down last summer.

There’s much more to enjoy on Kingsday with a.o. AVA NOVA, LOS PAJA BRAVA, THE HAZZAH, A.ROSE AND MR.POLSKA. All your senses with be tickled at the festival, as there will also be lots of food trucks, serving lots of different cuisines to make sure everyone can find something they’ll love.

On KINGSNIGHT the city centre of The Hague will be filled with music across nine different locations. It makes THE LIFE I LIVE one of the biggest and most enjoyable festivals in the Netherlands. Performing on Kingsnight are BOKOESAM, SON MIEUX, AWANTO 3, YOUNG MARCO, SEF, A MILI, DONNIE, FATA BOOM, DE LIKT, SUNFIRE, MAGIC MOOD and many more. Check www.thelifeilive.nl for the full line-up.
