DANCING IN THE RAIN AT EMBASSY FESTIVAL 2019

The Embassy Festival offered an impressive international festival with nearly 70 participating countries on Friday 6 and Saturday 7 September. The festival started on Friday evening with performances by, amongst others, London Afrobeat Collective and Son de Aquí.  The group of 25 artists, especially flown in from East Java, Reyog Ponorogo opened the Embassy Festival on Saturday with their multi-colored parade that represents a spiritual manifestation of love. The tone was set for a day full of wonder with dance, music and culinary surprises from the international kitchen. Lady Bazaar (Che), Faraj Suleiman (PSE), the Tanzanian fashion shows, BMI goes India, Kristin Mulders (NOR), La Chiva Gantiva (COL) and the dozens of surprise performances on the International Market were the highlights of this heartwarming festival where culture unites in the most literal sense. Irish folk extravanganza Harmony glenn as a final act, managed to keep the audience dancing despite the rain.
