Interview Ambassador Rwanda Jean Pierre Karabaranga

We were invited to the embassy of Rwanda in The Hague to have a conversation with ambassador  Jean Pierre Karabaranga. Who told us about his favourite Rwandan and Dutch food and what he thought when he visited the Embassy Festival for the first time. Check out the video for the full interview.

‘The first time I saw people eating herring I thought: ‘what?’ But when you taste it, it is nice!

In your Embassy Festival surprise box you might find coffee from Rwanda made by Bekse coffee. Which is specialty coffee with a story: just drinking the Murakoze coffee makes an impact on the lives of Rwandan women who grow the coffee. The proceeds go back to the Rwandan coffee growers, women who have survived the genocide and who can build a bright future again by growing and selling coffee. So try this great Rwandan coffee from Bèkske, they not only stand for delicious, but also honest coffee. As ambassador Karabaranga says: ‘when you drink the coffee you feel like you are in Rwanda!’
