How to make Samsaek Namul

Namul (Korean: 나물) refers to a variety of seasoned vegetables served with rice as a side dish. Virtually any type of vegetable can be used for Namul. The most common Namul dishes are made of bean sprouts, sweet potato shoots, dried radish greens and chives, as well as radish, spinach and eggplant that are already in our recipe. As Namul is a very basic Korean side dish, you would not have missed it if you’ve ever had Korean meals. In Korea, if you order a meal in a restaurant, a couple of Namul side dishes will be served with rice and your main dish. What’s noteworthy is that you can even ask more if you want! You will get free refills.
