The cultural season will be kick-off with lots of festivities during the free UIT Festival. In the course of three days, The Hague will be filled with theatre, dance, music, performances and more.
On Friday 31 August culture will be presented all over town during the Open Huis (open doors day) of the Cultuurankers. Enjoy previews and performances in your own neighbourhood from (a.o.) Veronique Sodano and The Dutch Don’t Dance Division. Paard will provide a sneak peak of the upcoming season with Paard van Stal. Dance the night away with Canshaker Pi, The Mauskovic Dance Band, Conjunto Papa Upa and many more.
On Saturday 1 September you can expect a night full of surprises during the UIT Nacht, with venues and theatres all over the city centre. Visit Korzo for an impressive dance programme full of international talent, be enchanted at the outdoor cinema with La La Land or jump and sing to the Balkan sounds of L’Chaim. Still have some energy left? Dance till the sun rises in the clubs of The Hague with Clubhopping. This is your chance to see and feel the diversity of its nightlife, completely free of charge. You won’t find a better afterparty.
Time for a sleep-in? Think again, because on Sunday 2 September it’ll be time for our renowned Culture Market. Five stages, a full programme at the cultural institutions and lots of food and drinks to still your appetite. For a good start of the day visit the Stadsontbijt at Theater aan het Spui. Get moving during the workshops of the Nederlands Dans Theater, enjoy a classical programme in the Kloosterkerk and bring your children to the Dutch heroes Buurman & Buurman in Het Filmhuis
