International Market

The Philippines is a country located in Southeast Asia made up of more than 7,100 islands. Filipino cuisine is a sum total of its history, from cooking with no fire but with natural acids (vinegar) to influences from  both eastern and western cultures. Clustered together with some co-members  of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) , the Philippines in this year’s ASEAN FoodZone offers its friends and visitors an array of popular, local Filipino delicacies, such as yummy  pancit, tasty lumpia (beef spring rolls), its own version of banana wrap with caramelized sugar,  turron,  and delightfully sweet native rice cakes (sapin-sapin)  and puddings, all prepared and cooked giving everyone “flavourful memories of the Philippines”. The Philippine booth also offers information on tourism and its consular services in The Hague.
